Scan Star Award 2008 for Promens Materials Handling Products
Promens Materials Handling Products together with Aqualife AS in Denmark have been awarded the Scan Star Award 2008 for the development of the Shellfish Tank. This Award for packaging innovations will be presented during the Danish FoodPharma Tech Fair in Herning.
The Shellfish Tank is developed and produced for Aqualife A/S and allows to transport shellfish alive by sea and/or road for up to 3 months. During the trip 20 of these tanks are in a special prepared sea container and the conditions in the tank are constantly monitored. The design of the tank includes 4 filter systems that will keep the pH-level constant, a system that circulates the sea water and maintains the temperature at a low level and an air providing system in order to keep the oxygen at the desired level.
